Partnerships for Learning  - Harvard Family Research Project: Family, School & Community Collaboration

As a result of Collaborative Board Planning, Regional Partnerships that work toward creating and maintaining Healthy Families and Children are the primary focus. Local Commnity Partnerships are encouraged and supported:

Expectations of Partnerships:

  • Supports and furthers the mission of the Collaborative
  • Share resources when possible
  • Build relationships
  • Reduce “bureaucracy” (less meetings, less red tape, family friendly, less duplication, etc.)
  • Develop, implement and evaluate coordinated responses to partnership issues
  • Promote, support and develop a unified service system that meets the needs of families
  • Utilize needs assessments and evaluations in decision making
  • Build on strengths
  • Is inclusive of all people/agencies providing similar services, serving similar consumers, or consumers themselves
  • Communicates with the Collaborative Board

The Partnerships meet regularly to create a shared vision; to examine the barriers to success, focus on some strategic directions and implement action plans.

Please contact the Collaborative Office for meeting dates and times at 218-749-8130 ext:1117
